Armstrong Fluid Technology: Making Energy Make Sense

Armstrong Fluid Technology has been a leading player in the global arena of HVAC since 1934. It is a 3rd generation family owned business and is an engineering firm that designs and manufactures innovative fluid flow equipment and high efficiency energy solutions for a broad range and scale of applications including district energy, data centres, fire systems, gas transmission, high-rise and mixed commercial buildings.

Our expertise has been developed through a composite understanding of complete end to end fluid systems and the integration of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, variable speed, and demand-based controls. Integrating mechanical equipment and digital controls in a way that no other company can match, Armstrong solutions deliver optimum lifetime building performance combined with the lowest first cost and lowest life cost.

Throughout our 80-year history, Armstrong has introduced ground breaking innovations that have elevated industry practice and substantially improved the quality and performance of pumping and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) installations across the world.

Our corporate head office is based in Toronto, Canada, and we operate six other manufacturing facilities across four continents, producing our extensive range of products for the local market needs.

In the UK, our operations span across two ISO 9001 & 14001 accredited sites:

Manchester is home to our 3600m2, state-of-the-art, manufacturing plant producing Electric Fire Pumps, Boosters, Pressurisation Units, HVAC pumps – Vertical In Line (VIL), end suction, fixed & variable speed pumps, as well as our high performance Design Envelope intelligent control solutions.

Our 3000m2 Birmingham based operations specialise in the design and manufacture of engineered to order (custom built) and prefabricated HVAC Systems including Intelligent Fluid Management Systems (iFMS), Heat Transfer Packages, Packaged Plant Rooms & Energy Centres and Diesel Fire Pumps.

As a leading manufacturer in our industry, our Birmingham facility is also accredited to EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2001, meaning our Packaged Plant Rooms and iFMS products fully comply to the very latest Construction Products Regulations (CPR) and carry full CE marking.

To support larger projects, our complementary Armstrong Project Assist Service to ensure any Armstrong equipment is scheduled, delivered and installed to the highest possible standards, and helps our customers reduce their energy consumption, save money and reduce their carbon emissions.

We also offer Service and Maintenance programs that include diagnostic and predictive maintenance that identifies potential problems before they can become an issue and ensures the system performance stays on target no matter what.

Armstrong remains committed to pushing the envelope further to deliver even higher-efficiency, innovative products that can provide the flexibility and adaptability to meet the future needs of our cities.
